What are good themes for a goodbye scrapbook?

i recently found out that my friend is moving to another state and my friends and i wanted to make her a scrapbook. we bought everything and we have 70 pages to fill up. we have about 50 ideas or so, but thats not going to fill up all the pages, even if a few ideas will take up more than 1 page. so do you guys have any suggestions or ideas on what another theme could be?

firstly divide the pages up so everyone has the same amount to do, get it each person do thing from there point of view, not everyone will remember the same thing was the same event. it would mater how u do it just tell he a story of how she means to each one of you.
u can tie each page together with colours of the papers. in a nut shell. you create a book that has chapters. If u need any more information on how to do it come to groups and look for debbierawle. i can post more info if u need it

When you are done scrapbooking an event, what do you do with your extra pictures?

I am just starting to scrapbook my wedding. I have about 200+ candid pictures and over 700 professional pictures. We have a professional album with about 60 or so pictures in it and a regular photo album for the candids. I am wondering what I should do with my extra pictures after I am done scrapbooking. I can’t put all of the pictures into the scrapbook and its seems weird to have just the extras in an regular album. This is a silly problem, but I am wondering, how does everyone else deal with this?

For wedding pictures, I would put them in the attic in a good storage container. Here is a suggestion that my wife has done with multiple scrap books (not necessarily weddings). Scan all of the pictures, and put all of the images on a CD, then get one of the paper envelopes for CD’s and stick it in your photo album. That way whenever you get an urge to look at the photos (even the ones in the album), you can insert it into your computer or DVD player and give them a look. It doesn’t take much room that way, but you preserve the images so that you don’t have to go stumbling around in the attic to find them.

Where can I buy a scrapbook to put my recipe cuttings in?

They are recipes I’ve cut from magazines, some with pictures and all are different sizes. I’m not very creative myself, so I want to buy a scrapbook so that I can glue these recipes in and keep them altogether.

This is what I do….I use a 3 ring binder and bought sheet protectors. If the clipping it too small I simply glue stick it to a piece of copy paper and slide it in. The page protectors help keep the recipes from getting cooking splatter on them and can be wiped off. I also bought dividers to keep the recipes organized by category. Just go to your office supply store like Office Depot.

What are the best cartridges for the Cricut?

I scrapbook with pictures of family, home, relatives, sports, etc. I have the smaller cricut, and don’t want the multi-step cartridges. Let me know which ones you like and why!

I really can’t say which one I like best but I do like the seasonal heart one and I use my sure cuts a lot more because I can use any font on my computer and don’t need a cart. I go to cricut.com alot their are alot of idea there and if you have any question they lady on the message board are really nice. You can also trade your carts you no longer use.

Is it bad to make a scrapbook of ex boyfriend photos and stuff?

I broke up with him after 2 years because I realized he wasn’t the one. We had a lot of good times, but the few abusive and controlling times never made things feel quite right. It was a clean breakup where we thought we could stay friends, but after he tried breaking in a month after and I had to call the cops it doesn’t seem so. I just don’t want to throw away all the old photos from prom and our ticket stubs and love notes, he was my first boyfriend. Would it be bad for me to make a scrapbook of all of it? Any ideas?

He was a part of your life, and from the sounds of it.. a big part. ake a scrapbook if you want! It’s just you scrap booking your memories, and nothing is wrong with that :) Something you can have to look back on, maybe show your children someday. There comes a point when kids are actually interested in their parents lives, and you’ll have something to show!

Go for it :) Nothing wrong with it at all.

What is the best scrapbooking message board to be a member of?

I am looking for a scrapbooking message board that is active but is easy to navigate. I dont want to have to reread the same messages over and over to find the new posts. I would like for them to be easy to find. I also would like it to be informative with alot of creative ideas. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We are so behind on scrapbooking…it seems as if there is no time to do all the great ideas we come up with. LOL
This one has some ideas and some contests and stuff.

Do Spellbinders Nestabilities work with the Cricut die cutting machine?

I really like the nested shape possibilities that come with Nestabilities, but I haven’t been able to find out if the Cricut is one of the machines they work with. If not, what are the least confusing, yet compatible, die cutters out? Help please? Thx!

The Cricut does not use any die cuts from any brand. You must put in cricut cartridges and programs it to cut out shapes. It is more like a little computer on its own. (no it does not hook up to a PC)It is electric.

Spellbinders are die cuts that use a die cut machine to put pressure on them and cut out paper. Sizzix Big Shot or Big Kick will cut out Spellbinders, Cuttlebug, Quickutz and of course its own die cuts. You can buy the Sizzix machine at JoAnn’s, Michael’s or Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. Sizzix is a manual machine
