Scrapbooking Yesterday

I had a beautiful Autumn Wedding just last month and I can’t find any scrapbook albums that incorporate both! I really can’t even find any Autumn albums at all. There are plenty of wedding albums but there aren’t any that go with my wedding at all! Please Help!

I can imagine an Autumn wedding was gorgeous! What colors did you use? I love Creative Memories products and even became a consultant. I think the new colors of our albums would provide a perfect solution to your question. For your wedding, baby, anniversarry, gift, etc. How much do you think is a reasonable price for a scrapbook (made by a professional) that has 10"x10" pages.

Just a rough estimate is all.

Im not talking about just one page, Im talking about an ENTIRE book. Thats about 10-15 pages

A general rule-of-thumb for pricing handmade items is to charge three times the cost of the supplies. This is just a general guideline. If you get your supplies at a hefty discount, you may want to charge three times what they would cost at a retail shop. That may make your price too high or too low. Adjust accordingly.

For example, I buy my sterling silver wire and my beads at wholesale prices and so can make a pair of lovely earrings for about a dollar. (Honest — and I share sources, too.) When I charged anything under $5.- per pair, folks did not believe me that it was real sterling. I now charge $5.- or $6.- per pair, and folks think they are getting a steal of a deal. However, one of my other items (beaded watch) would cost too much to be practical if I did the "supplies times three," so I charge "supplies times two" for those — and make up the difference on the earrings and bracelets I sell.

These days, you want to keep your prices as reasonable as you possibly can. Charging "what the market will bear" is neither kind nor wise in these times. We need to show folks that the "extras" are still affordable.

He keeps saying he doesn’t want anything, so all i can think of is making a scrapbook.

There used to be a stationers shop in Baghdad Street, Heliopolis that sold things like that.

I was at my cousin’s and her and i were working on this scrapbook of mine…and her husband comes in and goes "oh so i see she’s teaching you old people things now"…..i tried to explain to him that people of all ages scrapbook but he wouldn’t listen to me….

Why do some people think its just for old people?
I’m 20 and my cousin is 39

its not just for old people. My 9 year old likes to scrapbook. i think it is for anyone creative. old, young, guy or girl. Just depends on who wants to do it.

Hi. I’m a first time scrapbooker. I just bought a scrapbook today. Mine came in a plastic jacket kind of thing. I’m lust wondering if you’re supposed to take it off or not. Also can anyone recommend a good website for scrapbook ideas. That’s all’ Thankyou.

I am compiling a family scrapbook and while I was able to get 200 empty pages (like the ad said) into the book, now that I’m filling them the scrapbook won’t close. Is there such thing as an expanding book that will hold all you can make or do I need to break down and get multiple books?

It’s not an expanding book per se, but what I used to do is simply buy the little cardboard strips with holes in them and put them in between the covers. Is your scrapbook one with two covers that aren’t connected, or a one-cover deal? (That’d be great for additional details.)

I think you can get them at the dollar store, or ask at the front desk at a scrapbook or craft store for "scrapbook expanders" or something similar to that, and explain what’s wrong with them. Probably a scrapbook store would be better for helping you with this.

But, if you think you will continue to keep taking pictures that you’d like to remember, you might just want to buy several separate books. It’s, of course, entirely up to you.

I am making a scrapbook for someone. I bought some thick paper and am gluing things to that to create different pages. My plan is to get binding put on it at Staple’s. The problem is that the various things that are stuck to the pages are not remaining stuck with gluesticks. I was thinking about laminating it all, but calculated that laminating a single page would cost 1.29 and I have a LOT of pages. What should I do to make this book last and look professional?

Laminating them would be wonderful!
Try laminating two pages at once. Scotch tape back to back.

we’ve been going out for a year and i’m making him a scrapbook for christmas. But i dont have very many pictures at all, and i want it to be something i can add new pictures to everyonce in a while. what can i do so it doesnt look unfinish and what can i do to make it cute but not to girly?

maybe get a denim or leather covered one, those doesn’t look too girly. if u have saved things like movie stubs or, concert tickes, sports game tickes thing like that u can add them around the pic. u can put extra pages into the book as well, most books are adjustable. if u are using paper to put your pics on, choose colours or themes that are not girly. if he has a favourite team u could build something around that.

I’m making a scrapbook for my bf for his birthday. I already have all of the emails we sent to each other. Which now I regret it and think it must be boring to him since he saw it all. But what else should I put in there that will not bore him?
Thanks you guys. But… We have absolutely no pictures at all! Because we lively far apart from each other. And he kept all the tickets to the places we went to. so… it’s hard to put anything in there like pictures and stuffs.

Add pictures and souvenirs from things you did together, plus, add little pockets for poems or quotes. Maybe add lists of favorite things you did together. Also, in some of the pockets, add some "coupons" for things like, a free back rub, movie night with dinner and his favorite movie, sports night, things like that that you’ll know he likes.
